The Unibadan Association of Dental Students (UADS) in conjunction with Alexander Brown Hall (ABH) and the Federation of African Medical Students Associations (FAMSA) organized a medical in-reach on 30th July 2022 at Alexander Brown Hall, Ibadan.
The idea of this in-reach was to
enable people to examine their health status by using clinical measures for
testing their Body Mass Index (BMI), visual acuity, blood pressure, blood
glucose level, HIV status, and Hepatitis status. In addition to this, there was
also access to quality dental check-ups and dental care where procedures such
as scaling and polishing were performed by the dexterous dental students.
The event started at 11:00 a.m. and
spanned for about 5 hours with 103 people from ABH and its surroundings benefitting
from the free medical check-up and dental treatments. Statistics by age had 101
people within the age range of 18-40 and 2 people within the age range of 40 -
